UK viewers are to be treated to a televisual spectacular next week as the 2004 Mercury Music Prize Awards are shown on BBC4 and BBC2.

The show is shown (almost) live on BBC4 at 9pm on Tuesday September 7th (repeated at 7pm on BBC4 on Sunday 12th), then repeated on BBC2 (minus 20 minutes)?at 11.35pm?on the evening of Friday 10th.
